Kentucky Humanities Council

khc-logoGeoff Baggett is a member of the Speaker’s Bureau of the Kentucky Humanities Council, Inc.

The Kentucky Humanities Council, Inc. is an independent, nonprofit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities in Washington, D.C. The Council is supported by the National Endowment and by private contributions. It is not a state agency, and it receives no state funds.  Still, the KHC proudly partners with Kentucky’s cultural, heritage, arts, and tourism agencies.  It exists to tell Kentucky’s story!

The KHC provides grant-supplemented presentations for community groups and schools.  Non-profit organizations and schools can book a KHC Speaker’s Bureau speaker for a fee of $175.  KHC supplements with a mileage and meal stipend for its speakers, and handles all paperwork, payment, and tax issues for its speakers.

Geoff’s most popular program is his “Revolutionary War in a Trunk” presentation.  It is an interactive, hands-on program that connects listeners with life on the Kentucky Frontier during the 1770’s and 1780’s.  He also has a new program entitled, “Fort Jefferson: The Revolutionary War in Western Kentucky.”

If you would like to book Geoff Baggett as a speaker, you must first contact him by email and work to arrange a suitable date.  Once a date agreement is reached, you can “officially” make the booking going to this page, following the simple instructions, and utilizing their online form.

**Arrangements should be made as quickly as possible after August 15, as grant funds tend to run out quickly.
