Our Business
My wife, Kim, and I operate our “Colonial Book Shoppe” at Colonial events throughout the Southeast and Midwest each year. We are quite proud of our shop. It is a classy little 12 x 10 marquee with a ten-foot awning. We have put a lot of work and planning into creating a bookstore “vibe.”
Our Products/Goods
In addition to my personally-authored books, in our “Colonial Book Shoppe” we also sell sundry items that are associated with reading, writing, and literature. This includes feather quill and ink sets, wood pencils, hand-woven bookmarks, handmade trade bead bookmarks, and handmade book bags/haversacks. During events, as time permits, I demonstrate strap weaving on an inkle loom. All of our displays, attire, and accoutrements are period authentic. The only “modern” aspect of our display are the books, which contain authentic images on the covers.
